What a night! I was there also, my first stargazing event since Boy Scouts. I took my little 4-incher out for the first time in years and got a nice tune-up from Mike and Mark.
Although I didn’t get to see Saturn in mine, I got an awe-inspiring, lump-in-the-throat view through Mark’s “big boy.”
What a sight!
The ISS flyover was thrilling also.
I’m just sorry I had to leave early, but I’ll be ready next time.
Mark, Mike, Lilly, thanks again for a great time.
Stargeezer Astronomy is all about enjoying the night sky. We present Astronomy enrichment programs in Indiana and Kentucky, and blog on everything from celestial events, our nights under the stars, astrophotography and using our "toys" (the scopes, eyepieces, cameras and mounts).
